Internship, Curricular & Professional (Porto)
ROOTKey does not run a standard internship program, we only open curricular or professional internships on an exception basis, for candidates who can already show outstanding, hands-on work.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to real, live projects on the team you're placed in, not a simulated or side-track internship experience
- Take ownership of a defined piece of work from early on, with senior support
- Bring rigor and follow-through expected of a full-time hire, not just an intern
- Present your work and progress directly to the team and leadership
Qualifications
- We do not accept curricular or professional interns by default, only outstanding candidates who can clearly demonstrate this through prior projects, competitions, open-source work, publications, or equivalent evidence
- Currently enrolled in a relevant degree (for curricular internships) or a recent graduate (for professional internships)
- Proven ability to work independently and take ownership, not just follow instructions
- Strong fundamentals in the relevant area (engineering, compliance/regulatory, or sales/business, depending on placement)
- Comfortable operating in a fast-moving startup/scaleup environment with high expectations from day one
Additional information
- This is an exception-based program, if you can't show outstanding, verifiable work, this isn't the right fit, and that's fine
- Hybrid model with 10 flexible remote working days per month, to use as you see fit
