Frequently asked questions
How do I check that a document has not been altered?
Select the file on this page and enter its document identifier: ROOTKey compares the file with its immutable record and confirms whether it matches. The result shows integrity, issuer authenticity and validity.
What does the verification result mean?
The result reports three checks: integrity, issuer authenticity (ownership) and validity. When integrity and validity are confirmed, the document is verified: the uploaded file matches the immutable record registered through ROOTKey. Issuer authenticity confirms organisational ownership and digital provenance, and names the issuing organisation. If integrity or validity is not confirmed, the document does not match the original immutable record.
